Steve Howey has exclusively told Football FanCast that Nuno Espirito Santo will be looking at a variety of centre-backs this summer and will have identified his own targets.

Wolves are ending the season in impressive form having collected 10 points from their previous five Premier League matches.

Santo's men have managed two clean sheets during that five-game period, but have generally struggled defensively this term, and bar Leeds, have the worst defensive record in the top-12.

Captain Conor Coady has missed just one Premier League game and has been joined in a back-three by a combination of Kilman, Romain Saiss and Willy Boly, whilst midfielder Leander Dendoncker has occasionally dropped back.

However, with the latter recently turning 30 and already suffering from several muscle problems, and youngster Kilman reportedly set to be offloaded, Wolves will be looking to bolster their central defensive department this summer.

"Nuno will be looking at all different kind of players," Howey told Football FanCast when asked whether Santo could be targeting a move for out-of-favour Manchester City man Nathan Ake.

He added:

"The manager will have connections all over – again abroad. And he could be looking at other people."
