Fanos one Football FanCasts most popular writers looks at Tottenhams prospects next season and tell Spurs fans to to SIT BACK AND ENJOY THE RIDE at WHL, will it be that easy?
Once again a new season is almost upon us and once again the White hart Lane air is filled with optimism of what the next nine months will bring “fourth place is gonna be ours” they cry and “we’ll definitely finish above Arsenal” they decree.
Football FanCast columnist Fanos Kyriacou takes a last look at the Berbatov debate, with Keane gone and sigings flooding in what should we do with the talented Bulgarian?
There have been many articles written and views expressed about the future of Dimitar Berbatov, is he staying, is he going? Should we try to keep him or should we cash in now? There are good arguments for both and each argument certainly has its merits but like most Spurs fans I have had enough and want the whole saga to end so here are my final comments on the matter and I have promised myself not to mention it again after this.
Football FanCast columnist Fanos Kyriacou casts his eyes down the Spurs match programme and can see no fewer than 15 departures this summer.
With there being no real news to talk about (apart from still laughing at John Terry in tears) during the already long close season, a few of my fellow bored Spurs fans and I were out for a drink and analysing the current first team squad, discussing how many of them would still be with us when the new season kicks off in August. According to our rather rough calculations we can see no fewer than fifteen players from the squad list being shipped out in the summer. I actually argued for more but unfortunately I'm not sure I'll get my wish of seeing Jermaine Jenas finally be thrown back into a goldfish bowl.
Football FanCast columnist Fanos Kyriacou would be sad to see Dimitar Berbatov leave the Lane as he is the epitome of everything you would want to see as a football fan.

When people look back on the career of Darren Anderton the word ‘injured' is one of the first one that springs to mind. His injury plagued career earned him the nickname ‘sicknote' but I do feel that this reputation has somewhat masked the quality that he possessed on the football pitch. In a 12 year career at Spurs Anderton made 358 appearances scoring 48 goals not to mention countless assists.
Football FanCast columnist Fanos
Kyriacou is fed up to say the least of the constant hypocrisy of
Premier League managers.
According to Avram
Grant, Didier Drogba doesn't dive but Rafa Benitez says he does and yet Rafa
Benitez doesn't believe Steven Gerrard dives but the whole world can see he
does. Sir Alex Ferguson gets upset when decisions go against his team and then
promptly criticises the referee and yet when a team playing Man Utd get
decisions against them, Fergie praises the referee. Arsene Wenger says that
Birmingham's Martin Taylor should be banned for life after his challenge on
Eduardo and yet when one of his players does a similar challenge of course the
Arsenal player never meant it.
