Football
FanCast columnist Hans Schmitz looks
at the possible £20m quandary that could be facing the Spurs board.
I'm sure
there are set to be a few butterflies in the stomach among the Spurs faithful
this afternoon, as the club look to turn around a dismal week in Krakow. On
paper it is by no means an easy tie, as Barcelona found to their cost a few
weeks ago, and you can't help feel that should Tottenham lose this afternoon,
then even more anarchy is going to rise among the natives. Many see this game
as a defining moment for Juande Ramos; I just wonder if the board share this
view.

that Fraizer Campbell was given his chance.
When there is a crisis at Tottenham then it is of a
massive scale and the media do all they can to exasperate the situation. They
go on the hunt for interviews, try and exhume dirt from the players and more often
than not get ex-managers and pros to pass judgment on the football club?
Football
FanCast columnist Hans
Schmitz looks at the one
bright spark that has been shining at White Hart Lane this season.
They say life is never easy being a Spurs fan and
this season has certainly proved no different. A car crash of an opening has
already deflated even the most positive of Spur and we are all left to look
ahead as to what we can possibly salvage from this sorry start. We never make life
easy, but could Spurs fans imagine life any other way?
Football FanCast columnist Hans Schmitz feels that Spurs success this season will ultimately depend on the performance of a certain No.4.
You may love or loathe Didier Zokora but you will always respect him. Yes he doesn't have the passing ability of Hoddle, I accept that he doesn't have the shooting boots of a Lampard, but what he gives the football club is 110% effort every week; something that certainly cannot be said for the rest of his teammates.
Football
FanCast columnist Hans
Schmitz wonders whether
Spurs should make a move for the transfer listed Lukas Podolski in January and
whether he would prove a better option than Arshavin.
One of the biggest mysteries of the summer transfer
window was Spurs failure to sign Andrei Arshavin. Ramos wanted him, the player
was keen to sign, but a reported £1.7m difference in valuation proved the
stumbling block.
