Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish is growing frustrated
in his attempts to sign out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Kevin-Prince
Boateng on loan.
The 21-year-old Germany Under-21 international has not even been handed a squad number with Spurs this season, but seems reluctant to try his luck at St Andrew's.
McLeish told the Birmingham Mail: "I was hoping I would have met with him this week but he's been in Germany and I'm waiting to hear the next step.
"But if he's unsure about it then we'll just leave it. There's a deal there to be done. If I gave it the green light then we could do it.
"But I need to look the player in the face and see if he wants to come and resurrect his career, because we can help him. He'd be coming to a big club.
"It might be the Championship and some players don't fancy dropping down but, believe me, this is a division that would help him in his mentality and he could bring his own quality to it."
Will Spurs ever be able to ship him out of the club?
