Is Dutchman right to suggest that United star fails to show up?

to Wesley Sneijder's comments that Man United's Cristiano Ronaldo can't perform
in the big games and wonders if this is a fair accusation?

Real Madrid midfielder
Wesley Sneijder has accused prospective future team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo of
going missing in big matches; and the Dutchman has a point.
At what point do Manchester United say enough is enough?

Football FanCast columnist Frank Winter
looks at Spurs' desire to play hardball with regards to Berbatov and wonders at
what point Sir Alex says enough is enough and looks elsewhere.

Dimitar Berbatov is undoubtedly
one of the best strikers in Europe at the moment and his arrival at Old
Trafford would be welcomed, but at what price? According to reports in the Guardian this morning, Spurs have
decided to play hardball and looking to United to up the ante, but I feel we
should hold firm and if they don't succumb to our ‘take it or leave it' standpoint, then we should look elsewhere.
Why Manchester United star should put up and shut up

Football FanCast columnist David Mooney feels that given Cristiano Ronaldo has 4yrs remaining on his contract
that he should put up and shut up.

With Sepp Blatter making ridiculous claims about the modern footballer, I
thought I'd just take a quick look at all the things these ‘modern day slaves' have to put up with and how enslaved they
actually are. I mean, Blatter may have just picked the wrong word, after all
English isn't his first language, but he does seem fluent enough to know what a
slave is.
Done deal for Manchester United - or will they need to up the ante?

Football FanCast
columnist Stephen Darwin looks
at Manchester United's proposed bid for Spurs' Dimitar Berbatov and wonders if
£25m will be enough to secure their man.

It hasn't been a busy summer whatsoever for Sir Alex
Ferguson. The Manchester United manager has been dogged by rumours that
Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to jump ship to join Real Madrid and we have hardly
heard a peep from the fiery Scotsman about potential transfer targets this
summer. Persuading his No.7 to stay will undoubtedly be Ferguson's top
priority, although capturing a certain Bulgarian would also seem to be high on
the agenda. Dimitar Berbatov has long been linked with a move to the Theatre of
Dreams and, according to the Daily
Mirror; the Old Trafford club have set their price at £25 million in an
attempt to capture the former Bayer Leverkusen front man.
Who should Manchester United bring in to fill the void?

Football FanCast columnist Daniel Lomax looks at the runners and
riders to replace Carlos Queiroz at Manchester United.

With news that Carlos Queiroz has been named Portugal boss to replace Luiz
Felipe Scolari, who will be his replacement? United manager Sir Alex
Ferguson will have to act quickly if he is to get Manchester United off to a
flyer in the forthcoming campaign, with United's pre-season currently in
turmoil. Surely Ferguson will have a replacement in mind already, one that
will have undoubtedly already been approached, but who would be the ideal
candidate?
'Hall of Fame' Part Ten - Manchester United's 'Great Dane'

Football FanCast is introducing its new ‘hall of fame' which is a
celebration of all the great players that have graced pitches in the British
Isles in the last 30yrs.

The best thing about football is that is
brings people together. For ten months you are locked together in one big
family; all sharing the same dreams and hopes that your football club is going
to succeed and whether your Man United or Mansfield;
those same emotions are replicated throughout.

Manchester United now the focus of Sepp' growing obsession

Football FanCast columnist Mark
Bryans wonders why Sepp
Blatter felt the need to comment on the ongoing Ronaldo/Madrid saga.

Just what
is it about English football that riles Sepp Blatter so much? They are never
happy with the FA, the Premier League or the clubs. England's World Cup bid is
most likely doomed due to the seemingly partisan approach both Blatter and
Platini take with English football on the whole.
The type of inconvenience that both Manchester United & Liverpool could have done well without

Football FanCast columnist Mark Bryans looks at the latest
Olympic call ups and wonders if clubs should be able to prevent them from
travelling.

It is undeniable that representing your country is the highest honour that
can be bestowed upon you as a footballer. The chance to win or simply compete
in World Cups, European Championships and Copa Americas is a chance to become a
hero in your country. But what of the Olympics? Do players really want to
travel to China to play for their countries? The amateur ethos of the Olympics
seems lost when it comes to football and an ‘age-cap' is the only
barrier.
