Newcastle to look to an old face?

Newcastle United are considering re-signing Stephen Carr
just four months after releasing the former Republic of Ireland defender.

Carr, 32, was handed a free transfer by former Magpies boss
Kevin Keegan at the end of last season.
Should Newcastle United fans be thinking twice?

Football FanCast
columnist Rob Facey looks at the Keegan saga and says, whether
the source is legitimate or not, Newcastle fans must surely think twice about
re-appointing King Kev.

Kevin Keegan will make a sensational return to St James'
Park, again, according to the Telegraph.

An unnamed source has added more weight to the story by
stating that the former boss is currently on holiday in America but is waiting
by the phone for a call once Mike Ashley sells the club.

A Nigerian consortium has revealed that it has made a bid to
buy Newcastle United.

Reports suggested that the consortium - one of several
interested in buying the Magpies - had around £350million to spend, but they
have not disclosed the size of the bid.
A footballing enigma that leaves the neutral baffled!

Football FanCast columnist Lewis Doe feels that Newcastle United are very much the enigma of English football
and cannot believe they are in the state they are in.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Newcastle United are well and
truly the enigma of English football.

Whether you're a Geordie or an outsider you cannot help but view the
situation on Tyneside and baffle your mind for hours at just why the black and
white army of the north are not in a much better situation than they are.
