The FA cup has a history of shocks but are we about to be exposed to yet another, the heart would hope yes but the reality is it wont! Blue Square have suggested for those who like a flutter....

Blue Square South side Havant & Waterlooville will have an added cash incentive to pull off the shock of all shocks on Saturday at Anfield. League sponsors Blue Square have put up a cash bonus of £250,000 if The Hawks can triumph over Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round.

The part-timers from Westleigh Park earn an average of £250 per week during the season as well as doing full-time jobs ranging from binman to primary school teacher. The bonus equates to around £10,000 per player, effectively a years worth of their football earnings for winning one game.

Blue Square have once again planned and paid for all of the preparation requested by the Havant team before their cup tie, the league sponsors have arranged training at Manchester United's Cliff training ground as well as paying for transport and accommodation for the team in Liverpool. The team will also enjoy a day out at Old Trafford on Sunday courtesy of Manchester United and Blue Square.

The online betting firm quote Havant & Waterlooville at 5000/1 rank outsiders to win the famous trophy and go 50/1 about the team winning at Anfield. Liverpool are of course strong odds on favourites at 1/33.

Manager Shaun Gale said "It's a very generous sum from Blue Square and it will enable us to give the players a great bonus if they can overcome Liverpool". "We know we are the underdogs but the incentive is now there in the form of cash as well as progressing to the fifth round" Gale added. "Sunday will give me an ideal chance to study our potential fifth round opponents" he joked.

Chairman Marcus Hackney explained "As league sponsors Blue Square contacted us before the Swansea game and offered to pay for anything we wanted in our preparation, they have done the same for the trip to Anfield after we asked for a luxury hotel and training at Manchester United". "This bonus will enable us to focus on funding the running of the club with the money from our cup campaign".

Alan Alger, PR Manager for Blue Square added "we are extremely proud of Havant & Waterlooville and wish them every success at Anfield, a number of our staff will be there cheering them on". "We wanted to do anything we could to help the club and having arranged training at Manchester United and their accommodation, we thought that the excellent achievement of the players needed recognising". "Playing at Anfield will be enough of an incentive for the players, but you can't spend memories and as part-timers the cash will be a fabulous boost".
