columnist Rob Facey looks at the role of Louis Saha at Goodison
Park and asks fans is they think David Moyes' gamble has paid off?
David Moyes' side seem to have found their stride after
their third successive win this weekend, and has heaped praise on striker Louis
Saha.
The French international, who endured four injury laden
years at Old Trafford, was signed in the summer in what Moyes called "a bit of
a gamble".
Saha, now 30, has proved integral in each of the recent wins, scoring the only goal of the game against his former club Fulham and running the show at Upton Park, much to the delight of his manager.
"It's early days still with Louis but he's got real quality and I hope the goals today will give him confidence," Moyes said, as reported in The Independent.
"He took a pay cut to come here so good on him. He wants to play and we're getting to know him. He's getting to know us too. He would say he doesn't feel he's playing as well as he can do."
Moyes deserves some credit after taking a risk on Saha who, if being brutally honest, seemed to lose the form that saw Sir Alex Ferguson take him to United.
Likewise, Saha needed the move to get his career back on track and prove that he can still cut it at a high level and in doing so has lifted Everton up the table.
Is it fair to say that the gamble has paid off?

- Have Everton rediscovered that missing ingredient?
