Arsenal.com has confirmed that Walcott will no longer don the number 32 next season. His new number will be number 14, the number by legendary Arsenal player Thierry Henry. In my opinion I believe Walcott deserves this honour. Last season I could not help but rub my eyes to see if it was Henry on the pitch. The goals against Birmingham had the flair and skill of Thierry. Wenger has developed this kid perfectly to become the heir of the talisman. He has forced him to apply his trade on both wings as a midfielder. Walcott is now able to drift out to either wing like Henry to greet the ball and then dismantle defenders with his pace. I expect that this season Wenger will apply Walcott more into the forward role. Walcott's has matured mentally and has become patient in his shot selections.
